Our mission at Mercer Health is to positively steer the community’s health. While we are here to care for you when you’re ill, our goal as an organization is to offer the resources you need to stay well. We provide preventative care, routine screenings, education and support on a variety of conditions and topics at community events — and now online — as part of our Mercer Healthy Living initiative. We offer these resources to try to improve the health of our patients and the overall wellness of our community.

We want to help you understand your health, how your choices affect your overall health and wellness and ultimately how those choices can lead to the need for ongoing medical care – or how they can prevent the need for medications and hospitalization.

Our annual community events include:

Mercer Healthy Living Expo – The most comprehensive annual health fair in the area offers free health screenings, discounted lab tests, interactive displays from more than 30 local organizations, a blood drive, guest speakers and much more!  The Mercer Healthy Living Expo is the first Saturday in March at The Galleria in Celina.

Fall Fest – A collaborative community health and wellness event that offers screenings and information for children and discounted lab tests, free wellness screenings, free clincal breast exams and health information for adults.  Fall Fest is offered the the third Saturday of October each year.

Mercer Healthy Living Newsletter – A publication delivered to your mailbox that provides educational information regarding healthcare services, programs and events offered at Mercer Health.  In addition, the publication reports organizational updates, including an annual report, to the community.

Mercer Healthy Moms – A bi-monthly education series for new and expecting moms featuring expert speakers on a variety of topics, time for Q&A, breastfeeding information and time to connect with other moms.

Mercer Health 5K Series – A wellness incentive to participants in 5K races in eight different communities throughout Mercer County.

Walk-in Wellness – Each month a nurse offers free health screenings, including but not limited to blood pressure, blood sugar, cholesterol and osteoporosis, in various locations throughout the community. Check Mercer Health’s online community calendar or the Daily Standard each month for dates, times, locations and screenings.

Weight Management Programs – Our Weight Management Center offers educational programs, including classes, workshops and a monthly support group, in addition to medical weight loss programs and services.

Our online resources include our Mercer Healthy Living blog – which offers helpful information on a variety of health and wellness topics – our Facebook and YouTube feeds and www.mercer-health.com.
